I’m a Sunshine Coast children’s portrait photographer, baby photographer and newborn photographer. I will shoot in the studio or on location, depending on what the family wants. I prefer to work with the kids in a natural way so their smiles are genuine, or they are being who they are. Sometimes I will ask mum’s to step away from the session a little, as often mum’s can be quite distracting in a portrait environment. Only if the kids feel comfortable with that though.

I started photographing newborn babies and small children like a lot of other mum’s – because they were my own and a great friend lent me a great camera. I love kids portraits because they are usually uninhibited and in the moment – it’s only as we get older that we become self conscious. Although I think in this era of mobile phones selfies that is changing, which is really unfortunate.

Some of the images in the gallery below were taken 15 years ago via my kids portrait photography business in Sydney – the very first digital cameras, and poor image resolution quality to the luxury we enjoy now.
